Admission Programme: Admission to MBBS, BDS, B.Sc Nursing and BPT (collectively called as UG courses) of this institution, are on the basis of merit obtained in the admission written test (UG-AWT-2012) conducted by Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society
Eligibility Criteria
Age: Applicants must be at least 17 years of age on 31st December, 2012 (the date of birth being shown on the Matriculation or Higher Secondary Certificate or equivalent certificate)
Applicants born after 31st December, 1994 are not eligible to apply for admission to Undergraduate courses starting in July 2012
Nationality: Applicants must be citizens of India for UG AWT 2012
Persons of Indian origin with citizenship of other countries may apply under NRI category for which a separate prospectus is available
No other foreign national will be admitted
Academic Requirements
MBBS, BDS: A candidate for admission to MBBS and BDS courses must have obtained not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination (as per MCI Regulations 1997)
B.Sc Nursing, BPT: Admission to B.Sc Nursing and BPT course a candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English in 10+2 examination
In respect of candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry Biology and English taken together in qualifying examination be 40%
He/she has passed qualifying examination; the higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years education structure as recommended by the National Committee on education; or
The intermediate examination in science of an Indian University/Board of recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject; or
The Pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination, or the Pre-university or an equivalent examination
The pre professional/pre-medical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and also English as a compulsory subject; or
The first year of the three-year degree course of a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course; or
B.Sc examination of an Indian University, provided that he/she has passed the B.Sc examination with not less than two of the following subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English; or
Seats: MBBS-75 seats; BDS-40 seats; B.Sc Nursing-60 seats; BPT-20 seats
UG-AWT-2012: A common undergraduate admission written test (UG-AWT-2012) will be held for the undergraduate courses
Date of UG-AWT 2012: 25th May, 2012 from 02.00 p.m. to 04.30 p.m.
Test Pattern: Test will be conducted in the subject of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (12th class standard under 10+2 system) and also shall include test on General Aptitude
There will be 50 questions on each subject, a total of 200 questions
All questions will be multiple choice type
There will be no negative marking for wrong answers
Bible Test is of objective type with 50 questions and is based on facts from the Holy Bible (English Language only)
Test Centers: Allahabad, Amritsar, Bhatinda, Calcutta, Chandigarh, Chennai, Kochi, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi
Admit Card: Admit card will be available to all the applicants whose application form (both online and print) along with full application fee has been received by the office of the Registrar, by 19th May, 2012, irrespective of eligibility

If the admit card is not received by 22nd May, 2012, the applicant should contact the Registrar’s office and send a copy of the request by e-mail/fax
Cut off Score: For MBBS/BDS courses applicants must have obtained not less than 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in the UG-AWT-2012
For B.Sc Nursing/BPT course applicants there is no cut off point
Christian applicants should have scored 45% marks in the Bible Test to be considered under Christian quotas
Bible Test marks are not considered for merit preparation

On-line Application: Applications can be submitted on-line by accessing the website www.cmcludhiana.in, or www.cmcludhiana.org from 16th April, 2012 to 14th May, 2012

Every candidate will be required to log on to Admissions-2012 on the institutional websites
The online application form must be filled and submitted online (mandatory)
Log on to www.cmcludhiana.in or www.cmcludhiana.org and navigate to link UG-2012-MBBS/BDS/B.Sc Nursing/BPT and follow the instructions given
After successful registration, your application number will be assigned
Note this down for any future reference
After filling the on line form, upload your recent photograph (preferably of a minimum size of 295×356 pixels) in the appropriate space provided and submit
Take the print-out of your online application form on an A4 size sheet
Staple two recent passport size photographs in the appropriate spaces on the printed form and sign in the space provided for signature of the candidate
Attach the demand draft to the form
Application fee may also be paid directly into CMC Account (No-13720200003943) directly through any branch of Federal Bank
Details of Candidates name, Fathers Name and CMC Application number must be given to the bank
The Transaction ID generated by the bank must be quoted in the space provided in the online application form
The original transaction slip must be attached to the printed application form
Complete application with enclosures should be sent to the Registrar, Christian Medical College Ludhiana-141008, Punjab, so as to reach on or before the prescribed closing date, 19th May, 2012
Application fee a bank demand draft for Rs 3300/- (Rs three thousand three hundred only, inclusive of prospectus fee) drawn in favor of Christian Medical College Ludhiana Society on any scheduled bank payable at Ludhiana
Please quote name and application number behind the demand draft; or the original transaction slip for candidates who have remitted the application fee directly into Federal Bank
A hard copy of the prospectus will be sent to all candidates whose application form along with enclosures and payment is received in the Office of the Registrar before the last date of submission
The following documents in original need to be with the candidate to appear for admission at time of counseling, Admit card of UG AWT 2012, Proof of date of Birth, High school certificate (Class X/Matric), Detailed marks of qualifying examination (+2), Details of marks obtained in 10+1 & 10+2 examinations, 10+1 & 10+2 regular study certificate, Migration certificate from Board/Body except PSEB, For Punjab domicile students proof of 10+1 and 10+2 in Punjab from School principal, Character certificate from School/college Principal, Behaviour certificate from School/College Principal, Domicile/residence certificate (for all categories)
